1. What do you think about...?

Monica: So? What do you think of the house?

           그래? 그 집은 어떻게 생각해?
Chandler: It’s perfect. It’s everything we’ve been looking for.
           완벽해. 우리가 찾던 모든 것이 있어.
Monica: Isn’t it? Then what about the amazing wainscotting 

           and the crown molding and the dormer windows in the attic?
           그렇지? 멋진 웨인스코팅과 왕관 몰딩, 도머창은 어때?
Chandler: And the wiggle wharms and the zip zorps? (pause) 

             그리고 씰룩씰룩하는 고래랑 지퍼도... 

             What were the things you said?
             네가 말한게 뭐였지?
Monica: Don’t you love the huge yard?
           그 큰 마당도 좋지 않아?
Chandler: And the fireplace in the bedroom.

           침실의 벽난로도.

 

2. How do you feel about…?

Chandler: Aside from adoption the only other choice is insemination, so... we're talking about sperm donors.
             입양 말고 다른 선택은 수정뿐이야.... 그래서 우리는 정자 기증자에 대해 얘기하고 있어.
Joey: Enough said, I'm there for you man. Where is she, upstairs?
        충분해, 내가 있잖아. 그녀는 어디있어. 위층에?
Chandler: (stopping Joey) ah-ha!
              아-하!
Ross: How do you feel about all this?
        이 모든 것에 대해 어떻게 생각해?
Chandler: I wish there was an easier way for us to have a child but I don't think there is one.
             우리가 아기를 가질 수 있는 더 쉬운 방법이 있었으면 좋겠는데... 없는 것 같아.
Joey: Come on Ross, be a good guy. Step up and do it!

        어서 로스, 좋은 사람이 되라. 일어나서 해!

 

3. What's your opinion on...?

Ross: Hey, what’s behind your back?
        헤이, 뒤에 뭐있어?
Monica: Nothing. Just something I want to get Phoebe’s opinion on for Valentine’s Day.
           아무것도. 그냥 발렌타인 데이를 맞아 피비의 의견을 듣고 싶을 뿐이야.
Ross: You don’t want my opinion?
        내 의견은 싫어?
Monica: Not really.
           그렇지는 않아.
Ross: Come on, I’m your older brother, ask me!
        어서, 난 네 오빠야! 물어봐!
Monica: oh...oh Ok, big brother. (holds up two erm…revealing articles of clothing)

           알았어 오빠.
Which of these do you think would make your little sister look hotter, so your best friend would want to do her?

이 중 어느 것이 여동생을 더 섹시하게 보이게 할까? 그래서 너의 가장 친한 친구가 나를 원하게 될까?

 

4. Do you have any idea?

Monica: I think this is so great! I mean, you and Ross! D-did you have any idea?
           이거 너무 좋은 것 같아! 내 말은, 너랑 로스! 무슨 생각이라도 있어?
Rachel: No! None! I mean, my first night in the city, he mentioned something about asking me out,   

but nothing ever happened, so I just... 

안돼! 안돼! 내 말은, 처음 도시에서 보낸 첫날 밤, 걔가 나한테 데이트 신청을 했지만 아무 일도 없었어, 그래서 그냥...

 

5. What is the point of ....?

Chandler: Hey, here's an idea, why don't we use our wedding china today?
             좋은 생각이 있어, 오늘 혼례 식기를 사용하는 건 어때?
Monica: No, I think we should save our china for something really special. Like if the Queen of England comes over.
            아니, 나는 정말 특별한 날 사용했으면 좋겠어. 마치 영국 여왕이 오는 날 처럼.
Chandler: Honey, she keeps canceling on us, take the hint.
             허니... 그녀가 자꾸 취소를 해.. 눈치 채야되.
Monica: What if something gets broken, they're so expensive.
            만약 깨지면... 그것들은 너무 비싸.
Chandler: What is the point of having them if we never use them?
             우리가 그걸 절대 사용하지 않는다면 무슨 의미가 있을까?
Monica: Ok, but if something gets broken, and then the Queen comes over..
            알았어, 하지만 뭔가 부서지고 여왕이 오면...
Chandler: I will explain it to her.

             내가 설명할게.

 

6. In my opinion…

Phoebe: Were you guys making fun of Parker?
            너희들 파커를 놀렸니?
Ross: That depends, how much did you hear?
        니가 얼마나 들었는지에 따라 달라..
Phoebe: So, he a little enthusiastic, what’s wrong with that?
            그래서, 그는 열정이 있을 뿐이야. 뭐가 문제야?
Monica: It’s just that, it’s so much.
            그냥, 너무 과해.
Phoebe: Well, so what I like him! Do I make fun of the people you’ve dated? Tag, Janice, Mona? 

            음, 그래서 내가 그를 좋아하는 거야. 내가 너희들이 사귀었던 사람들을 놀렸니? 태그, 제니스, 모나?

No, because friends don’t do that. But, do you want my opinion? Do you want it? ‘Cause in my opinion, 

아니, 친구들은 그렇지 않아. 그래서 내 생각이 뭘까? 원해? 내 생각은,

your collective dating record reads like the who’s who of human crap. (Walks off)

네 데이트 기록은 인간 쓰레기 같은 놈이라고 적혀 있어.

 

7. I'd say...

Rachel: You know what?  Uhm, I have some goodbye stuff that I wanted to say to each of you 

          그거 알아? 음, 너희들에게 하고 싶은 작별인사가 있어서 오늘 밤까지 기다려보려고 했는데,

and I was gonna save it until the end of the night, but come here (they go into the guest room).
이리 와봐.
Ross: Hey, what do you think they're doing in there?
        이봐, 저 안에서 뭐하는 것 같아?
Joey: Huh, if I had to guess I'd say Rachel is putting on the bubble wrap and Phoebe is doing the punching.

        내가 추측하자면 레이첼은 버블랩을 하고 피비는 펀치를 날리고 있는 거야.

 

8. Personally, I think.

Rachel: I can't believe this! This is Emma's first Thanksgiving!
          믿을 수 없어! 엠마의 첫 추수감사절이라구!
Monica: No, it's not!
           아니야!
Rachel: It's not? When was she born?
           아니야? 걔 언제 태어났지?
Phoebe: Well, personally I think it's great you're giving yourself a break.
           음.. 개인적으로 너희가 좀 휴식을 취하는게 좋을 것 같아.
Monica: Thank you, Pheebs!

            고마워 피비!

 

 

9. If you ask me...

Rachel: Well, yeah! I’m still pursuing that.
          그래! 나는 아직 설득하고 있어.
Chandler: How... exactly are you pursuing that?
 Y'know other than sending out resumes like what, two years ago?
              정확히 어떻게 설득하고 있어? 2년 전에 이력서 보낸 거 말고?
Rachel: Well, I’m also sending out.... good thoughts.
          음... 또 보낼거야... 좋은생각
Joey: If you ask me, as long as you got this job,  you’ve got nothing pushing you to get another one. You need the fear.

       만약 나한테 물어본다면... 니가 그 직업을 갖고있는 한, 다른 직업을 갖으라고 강요할 수는 없어. 넌 두려움이 필요해.

 

 

10. The way I see it..

Gary: Chandler, what-what are you doing?
        챈들러, 뭐하는 거야?
Chandler: I am trying to open your eyes, my man!

             나는 너의 눈을 띄워주려고!

Don't you see, if you lived with Phoebe she's always gonna be there.  You're gonna get home, she's there. 

모르겠어? 만약 니가 피비랑 같이 산다면 그녀는 항상 거이 있을거야. 니가 집에 가면 그녀는 거기 있을거야.

You go to bed, she's there. You wake up and oh yes, she's there!

니가 침대에 가면 그녀는 거기 있을거야. 니가 잠에서 깰때도 그녀는 거기 있을 거야!

Gary: I know! I can't wait!
       나도 알아! 기다릴 수 없어!
Chandler: Were you're parents happy, or something?
             너희 부모님은 행복하셨니?
Gary: Listen Chandler, the way I see it is that I was lucky enough to find someone that I really love. 

        챈들러 들어봐, 나는 정말 사랑하는 사람을 찾을 수 있을 만큼 운이 좋았어.

I just—I wanna be around her as much as I can.

난 그냥. 내가 할 수 있는 한 그녀와 함께 있고 싶어.
